It is not the growing old that is the problem it is the side effects/affects. Aging is NOT for the faint of heart for sure.

but we are still here

@talulah888 and life is still good.

hiya...its lovely that you see those things....

@talulah888 ...I was also thinking.. a should-be justice on our Supreme Court 🙂

Also, somewhat of an artist myself, I’ve a facebook friend always posting her latest paintings.. My thoughts are ..she’s a ways to go. Looking over your piece above felt great, in comparison, you’re there.

Beautiful, captures your strength and softness all at the same time. Do you paint portraits of others? I would commission one if you do.?

You are truely talented! I love the different shades and tones. Really brings out your facial features.

Beats the shit out of the alternative, though.

Love the portrait and you're right aging is not for sissies. It both challenges and surprises me at every turn.

Thank you for sharing such a beautiful painting. You are very talented. I wonder how long does it usually take to do such a portrait?
God, I wish I had the talent to create portraits, but sometimes I feel like I have two left hands and I can’t really draw. I have a couple of portraits on my wall that I bought from talented artists. I enjoy different styles of paintings, but I started liking caricatures lately. I purchased a couple from this website: [photolamus.com]
They have so many options for funny, silly caricatures that are reasonably priced and high-quality!

i am fascinated by the aging process, how due to cell degeneration for example it takes 3 weeks for bruises to heal when it used to take days 🙂 but i still feel 25 and it is a source of wonder to me that my sons are in their 30's ... but i'm still 25 i tell myself! 🙂 Beautiful portrait by the by 🙂

I just wanted to echo what others said. You're very talented. This is a beautiful portrait. It must have taken quite a bit to study yourself. Thank you for sharing that with us.
