AIRPLANE ETIQUETTE...having just flown, something struck me. Do you believe that the person at the window seat controls the window shade or is it's the row's window and all members of the row get to request that the shade be up or down? Have you ever asked the window person to open or close the shade, or heard anyone else ask? I haven't. That's why they call this the "silly, random, fun" section πŸ™‚

I love the idea of rock, paper, scissors as a valid voting method. I have never seen a person ask the window person to move the shade and I would never do that.

I don’t fly anymore, but here are a couple of fun accessories for those in the aisle seats. Taking back control. Lol.

You are literally stuck inside and have no space. You deserve some privileges. Lol

The only one who gleans any benefits from the window seat on an airplane is the person sitting in it. I let them decide.

I always ask the pilot. It's one of the many reasons I can't fly anymore.

If the sun is coming through in such as way as to be an issue for anyone (including on the other side of the aisle, or even in a different row), it should be closed. Anything else is up to the person with the window seat.
