Hello Heider, welcome to Agnostics. We are from many countries, I myself am from the UK., Northern Ireland to be precise. You must be vastly in the minority in your country, I hope you are keeping yourself safe. Your photos are nice, you and your friends look very happy, and I hope you make lots of new ones here.

I imagine it is quite difficult being atheist in Iraq. Much more difficult than tolerating the casual disdain most atheists face in the U.S.

@Gooniesnvrdie

Only been to Alabama once, when I was 14. And only for part of a day, so I can't really say what being an atheist there is like. But I can say that being an atheist in northeast Indiana is no fun. It is such a conservative Christian place. I have had quite a few people show me open disdain and hatred. A couple of people I even sensed would have loved to kill me if it were still the 17th century. By far, the most hated group in the U.S. is atheists. No one really knows what persecution in the U.S. really is until they let it be known they are atheist in a place like Fort Wayne, Indiana.

@Gooniesnvrdie Which school did you attend? I went to IU for 6 years, then later, to Purdue for 3 1/2 years.

@Gooniesnvrdie I was there from January 2014 through May 2017. Went to IU back in the 1990's.

@Gooniesnvrdie

Yeah, my bad. I realized as soon as I posted my last comment that you were not the OP (who is 27). Hence why I deleted the comment.

@Gooniesnvrdie What did you study?

@Gooniesnvrdie Makes sense.
