What do you say about near death experiences where the person claims they've seen heaven or hell?

I don’t know, probably something like, “oh, that’s neat. Tell me more”. Then continue the conversation based on what they say. I’ve never talked to someone who’s had a near death experience so I’d be interested in what they had to say.

When in the process of dying your sight looses its peripheral vision first giving the appearance of a tunnel or shaft of light this fades as the remainder of your eyesight leaves you

Dreams maybe? Don’t really feel like we have done enough research on the brain to truly understand what happens... we only have the person’s first hand account. Who knows what it really is

You are wrong: [scientificamerican.com]

@demifeministgal let’s get real. What do they really know? Just because you’re a neuroscientist it doesn’t mean jack shit. Humans really don’t understand dreams let alone near-death experiences. Have a fucking wake up call

@thewaterygoat They obviously know more than you. I find it strange that you are discounting scientific explanations by experts for what? A preferred supernatural style explanation? What makes you different from a religious person then? sad
