How do we know that's a prayer closet? If could be what's left of the crapper.

In my 30 years as a christian, This was something that i had a problem with but it is quickly turned to a positive. Everything is spun until it's gods will for it to happen.

You make alot of - God blesses you
You lose all your - God trying to get your attention
You are healthy - God bless you
You are sick - God trying to test you
House burns down - God will use it for his glory
Child dies - Sad but god will use it for his glory

Everything thing works out for glory of god. I'm sorry but sometimes bad things happen because youre stupid and good things happen because you're smart.

Instead of following facts. There is a preset narrative and you have to fit facts to go along with the ending that you want

"Thanking God for sparing you from a natural disaster is like sending a thank you note to a serial killer for killing your neighbors instead of you".

I would be willing to bet that the closet had been reinforced for just such an occasion, that is why storm cellars exist.

But...it still destroyed the house...

So that's what is meant by "coming out of the closet" when people leave Christianity for a secular lifestyle.
