Are there any religious motions or thoughts that you use for good in your life?. I will look at something benign I have done and then get anxious about it. I sometime ask myself if would be considered a sin--It rarely is so I tell myself to cut it out with the anxiety.

Ohferpetessake, just stop it! I have learned to laugh at myself if this happens, so silly!

Although I personally find the Bible overall a very immoral book it has some good sayings and I tend to quote them especially to the religious. Among them are: "A house divided against itself cannot stand", "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone", "Judge not lest you be judged", "Prove all things: hold fast that which is good", "A soft answer turneth away wrath" and "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?"

No, and I have no anxieties about my actions. Sin is not a word I think or care about. It seems to me you might still be in the process of leaving the religious upbringing...

Not really. I do like to remind myself of the wisdom found in the serenity prayer, but it is really just good advice that someone put into prayer form and I don't think of it as a prayer and I certainly don't expect a god to grant me anything.

God grant me the Serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;

Courage to
change the things I can;

and the Wisdom to
know the difference.

Some churches “weaponize scripture and religion to do very deep damage on the psych.”

Religious Trauma Syndrome is experienced by many people coping with leaving an authoritarian, dogmatic religion and indoctrination. They may be still be debunking their former fanatical faith or breaking away from a controlling community.

RTS, from religious abuse can be compared to PTSD and Complex PTSD (C-PTSD)."

Any notions of good that humans have predate religion. Like we needed the commandments to tell us killing is bad. All the notions and thoughts for good are human in origin. So no.

so the bad thing is that you're critical of your own actions?
