I'm a fan of melancholy. Listen to some Elliott Smith to really get the melancholy going. "fond farewell to a friend" or "2:45 in the morning" or "between the bars". Search YouTube.

working on a project linked to my writing - youngest is in bed - oldest is online playing with friends.

So, over all, my mood is great. I am happy and content.

Groggy and lonely. Woke up from a short nap since I work overnight and have to head out in a couple hours, but I'm feeling the distance from my partners really hard right now. I miss them terribly.

Frazzled, overwhelmed and lonely. I am staying at my daughters' to help with her kids during a real rough work period for her--our parenting styles are not even close so lots of stress. She thinks kids should just be able to develop without a lot of supervision and rules. I on the other hand think that is where they get their security and learn to function as responsible adults. Really tough
