Fearless is not the absence of fear, it’s overcoming it
Fearless, not stupid it sharpens my awareness & love bit's

Being fearless of unknowns allows the exploring reasons and solutions
Be not, panicked and overwhelm of fears of Gods, Demon, monsters & delusions

Fearless brings on imaginations and good sense, give it a home and time
Fear brings ignoriance & hideaways from new things as the world turns on a dime

Don't hold back from new things, new people, or leaving the house
Exploring the world & love. Is all I need to say & do for man/women & child, not a mouse

What hasn't been said before, been polite for too long
I am better now than ever, better loud than clever, why not sing your song

Fearless plays the fool, time to just close my eyes and kiss man/women/child
Many things are BS & cruel, don't hold up, don't wait up, be an adventure gone wild

Lay your home & head down in concrete fields, dreams of grass and opera cloud
Am I dead?, or is it fire and torture enterity retirement, Gods on call waiting, be proud?

Or do I answer the phone as you are the only ones I'll miss, man,women & child
I answer at times like this. My trick of trade, my gold, fearless love, let's dail and stay awail

Fearless to hold me up, or I'm out, don't wait. Soon enough, I'll be coming home.
To hold your hand, your heart. Don't hide in your head, be yourself, be love- not fear, in our fearless dome.

Well done for laying it out in a public forum. That is Fearless in itself. Readers can take from it what they want, you don’t have to defend anything you have written. You can move on and so can everyone. As in the Rubiayat Of Omar Khayyam

“The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all thy Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all thy Tears wash out a Word of it.”

Fearlessness is only warranted in 2 circumstances" (1) when one feels certain that he or she has all of the needed information to safely undertake a matter successfully, or (2)when one is prepared to face disastrous consequences, even death. I have always been a risks taker. but fear always made me assess the situation and prepare to face known risks, so that my efforts were calculated risks, not wild stabs in the dark.

I do not fear death, as I know it is inevitable and I know that here is no afterlife.

I was so happy when my daughter told me she is fearless too, so good for you too.

fearlessness literally IS the absence of fear. the word that should be there is COURAGE. courage is not the absence of fear but the ability to overcome it or the act of overcoming it. even overcoming is tricky -- you can fail at overcoming it and yet press on as if it's not there, which is a kind of overcoming. but please do not confuse fearlessness and courage.

It is a freaking poem! Next you will you tell poets to take out the word heart, in their poems, because it's literally a mussle. A poem is not intended to be technical or scientifically concrete cold. I even added what I mean by fearless. FEARLESS is having doubts too. To me, Spiritual mean to me 99% unknowns, to you just call it unknowns. See a differences in perspectives?. To me, FEARLESS is living in spite of those things that scare you to death. FEARLESS is falling madly in love, even if it hurted before. FEARLESS is walking into first school, your first plane, or physical fight and getting back up again and getting what you really, really want. FEARLESS is having faith in yourself and in the ones you love. Fearless is loving someone despite what people think, or cry if it fails. Letting go is FEARLESS, no matter what, love is FEARLESS.

@Castlepaloma the heart is not a mussle (no such thing) or a mussel (shellfish). and you do not have to explain the poem to me. i am a poet, myself. i know what a poem is. making line breaks does not innoculate a poem from any form of criticizm. i stand by every single word i wrote and i will add that being defensive does not earn you any additional respect (i was already respectful; i am feeling less respectful after reading your whine).

Heroic things are usually done by people that were terrified and did it anyway.

I hear an ant is more heroic than a comic super hero. We have learn so much from ants.

@Castlepaloma Ant IS a Superhero.

@BufftonBeotch

Sure...ATOM ANT superhero, created by Hanna-Barbera in 1965.
ANT-MAN. Marvel comic... he shrinks to an ant and grows to a 100 feet tall.

For real... Ants weight mass collectively, evolution, and heroics, are greater than humans,. Ants started heirarchy, armies and taxes. They survived long before us and will survive long after humans go extinct.
