Well, for a news story I quite liked this.

Not sure about No 16, feeling connected to "the universe". That's iffy.

My own would include:

  • Realising at an early age it was all crap and fairly stories.
  • No God could exist and allow so much cruelty and misery in the world, including in its name, unless it was an impersonal God, so any worship is pointless.
  • Which God?

24 and 3

At age 13, I became an atheist when I realized the Bible is just a book of stories written by men.

I chose rational thought over magical thinking.

Numbers 8 and 24 are the biggest reasons for me.

Cool. Hope a ton of millennials read this.

For me, it was the contradictions and atrocities in that book. Yet, I also witnessed the immoral behavior of the "church" members of the churches I was a member of.

What sadistic god would create sentient beings that had to kill and eat other sentient beings in order to survive?

What kind of God indeed would do that.
