This has pretty much been how every date has gone for me within the past two years. Where is my perfect atheist lover? 😭

I met someone, though he be a Catholic (an inactive one though). He does not stress it however, so it works. He definitely does not mind me being an Atheist. Maybe he'll come over to the "Dark Side" one day, lol.

Whenever anyone makes a point of telling me they are a christian (or mulim, jewish, hindu, etc) I just ask Really, and why is that?
In most cases I can go back to a root cause of parental control and indoctrination and often they believe little of religion, but like being part of the 'community/

I saw that on FB. I'd like to meet her.

As an atheist since age 13, no man has ever rejected me because of my atheism.

However, I have rejected Christians who:

A.Tried to convert me; and/or

B. Confronted me with the same, tiresome rude questions.

  1. How can you be a moral, good person without believing in God or attending church?

My reply: "Being a good person is a series of daily choices. I don't need a book to tell me to be honest, kind, loving and giving. That's who I am."

  1. How did the universe begin?

"Science advances every year. Since when does being an atheist automatically make me an astrophysicist?"

  1. What happens after we die?

"Nobody knows. I don't badger you about your religion. I'm leaving."

I know exactly how you feel...

@1EarthLovingGal They see us from the prospective of fear because that is what their own doubts makes them feel. Anyone with any sense at all fears they might be wrong when they chose to believe something that completely lacks evidence when there is so much evidence that it is nonsense. That fear translates into hate and loathing as well as a deep seated need for them to attempt to force their beliefs on you in an effort to prove to themselves they are right...
sighs If I were only even 20 years younger...

@1EarthLovingGal Fear keeps the flock close for the shearing....

Haha, i am just joining the single life again, and going to be a strict non christian dater...in the midwest...

Good luck with that. But you do have some things going for you that I don't, namely that you are young, live in a larger city than me, have a kid, and are above average looking. But you will have a hard time finding a non-believing woman in the KC area that has the rest of what you want in compatibility.
