Point taken. I love the banter that goes on here far more...you get almost immediate response.
And there's no posting "favorite cat or cute baby" pics here...at least none I've come across.
The comments here just seem more relevant, and often enlightening.
I learn stuff here. I rarely learn stuff on FB.
None of the inconvenient things that go along with friendship. They ain't calling you at two in the morning to jump their car, or take them to the airport, or needing to come over and hang out for the evening and talk because they just got dumped. This is friendship light.
Having hundreds of FB friends doesn't mean shit. To me, the real definition of friendship, Sticks, in addition to your comment, is how many people do you know that will, on short notice, give you a ride to the ER or come visit you in the ER. Those are real friends....
Because FB and social media require zero commitment or involvement compared to real offline friendships.
