Israel has nuclear weapons , but they are the good guys. More of a threat to peace in the area than Iran have ever been

Are you saying that, because Israel has nukes that Iran should?

To be fair, everybody should have them. The fear alone should make everyone strive harder for peace.

No I don't think anyone should have nuclear weapons, but the genie is out of the bottle so to speak. Try to see it from Iran's viewpoint. They see Israel, Saudi Arabia and the USA as a threat. It was the USA who broke the terms of the agreement not Iran

The US sees Iran as a threat because of their supplying weapons to Hamas/Hezbollah in Palestine and Lebanon, their support of terrorist activities in Syria and (possibly) Yemen. I’m sure Iran would say similar things, as well. That still does not justify them or anyone else, who does not already have them, having nuclear weapons.

I don’t think that Iran would provide nuclear weapons to al Queda (because of their religious differences), but if either they or Issis had nuclear weapons or Hamas/Hezbollah had them, do you think they would hesitate to use a nuclear weapon against a target in the West?

That is one reason why no other countries should have nuclear weapons. The greater their spread, the greater the opportunity that a terrorist organization would obtain one.

(As to Israel. Would they use one? I have no idea but they have not so far. It’s not likely that they will unless their existence were irrevocably threatened. Because, to use one at any time, even then, would result in absolute condemnation. But, it’s probable existence serves as a deterrent, for good or bad... that’s its reality.)

Yes, TRump foolishly broke the agreement and now the world has to live with the foolishness. In some respects, that and Trump’s imposing sanctions, are the reasons that Iran is reacting as it is. However, that does not mean that Iran has the right to violate the agreement. Even without the US remaining in the agreement, five other nations are still signatories to the agreement with Iran. And, like it or not, Trump is right about Iran’s activities in support of various terrorist activities and of supplying weapons to Palestinians. So, their hands are not exactly clean (nor are Israel’s but that is besides the point.)
