Pollution looks pretty bad in that photo, too. That building is maybe a 1/4 mile away? Very hazy/smoky looking.

5 years ago, China was opening a new coal plant every week. Now they've done a serious and fast 180º - they hold world records for largest solar and wind farms.

China is the world's leading country in electricity production from renewable energy sources, with over double the generation of the second-ranking country, the United States.
In 2013, the country had a total capacity of 378 GW of renewable power, mainly from hydroelectric and wind power. China's renewable energy sector is growing faster than its fossil fuels and nuclear power capacity.
