Americans - don't you go thinking you're special. On average, a nation celebrates its independence from Britain once a week!

We all are special, therefore no one is

How's it feel to have so many countries so thrilled you're gone that they feel the need to celebrate it every year?

And yes, I know well get to know that feeling soon enough.

I dunno. I'm from Australia, and we basically became independent in 1900 by saying "We're our own country now, and we're on the other side of the world, so what the fuck can you really do about it?" And the Poms responded with "Errr, fair enough then, I guess. Would you mind keeping the Queen?"
"Yeah, no worries. We'll keep sticking Liz on the money."

Erm nope

@Amisja What?

@zesty the Zulus slaughtered the British army in the late 1800's. It's why the province of KwaZulu-Natal is still semi-autonomous. And the Japanese basically ended British rule in South East Asia during WWII, capturing, torturing and starving thousands of British and ANZAC troops after the fall of Singapore.
