If we count illegals in the Census, why not to count tourists? Extending this concept, why not to count everyone no matter where they live?

So what type of tourist are you proposing to count? Only the ones from the US or from another countries? How do you plan on counting someone visiting multiple towns, counties, states? Do they get counted in each one?
The census should count everyone living in the US and where they get counted is at their permanent address. I would be curious if ex-pats are counted and how.

Regardless of legal status, Emergency services and Infrastructure need to be in place - these are dependent on the total numbers of people, not just citizens.
Thinking you can stop all undocumented people from being in this country makes as much sense as believing in God.

We could put men on the Moon. Deport a few million people doesn't seem so complicated even if the Catholic Church needs the stupid and uneducated mass.

@zesty
We’ve been doing that for years - what was Einstein’s definition of insanity?

@Haemish1 No, there was no mass deportation.

@zesty
Obama deported more than Trump has.

Because we're all Americans at heart?
Or because all Americans are earthlings?

Agree, we have to count everybody, citizens and residents. If you live in this nation, you answer basic questions. Freedom is not without laws and responsibility.

Tourists too?

@zesty No, everyone who is a resident, not tourists. Knowing citizenship is important to understand voting districts and allocation of Congressional seats among other things. Just other demographics are not enough. People opposing the citizenship question are a nuisance to the democracy.

The Census is used for determining a whole bunch of things. The number of representatives in Congress is just one. The amount of tax dollars that come back to your community is also based on the Census. Those tax dollars that come back to your community supports your local schools and hospitals.

Illegals should have illegal representatives, illegal schools and hospitals! Great concept!

@zesty Yeah, racists are always the first to shoot themselves in the foot financially if it prevents someone with nothing getting help.

@sewchick57Are you calling me racist?

@sewchick57 Answer my question! It is simple, even you can do it!

Airlift about a billion people from around the world and give them asylum in the U.S. Our tax revenue will increase 5 times more. Your principle will work great.

Yeah, we should have accurate counts of everyone. What a stunning new concept. Maybe someone should put counting people in the constitution or something.
