The stats on guns say that they cause more accidental deaths, to their owners, than deliberate ones in total. Does anyone remember the shooting range instructor who was killed, when he gave a heavy caliber automatic rifle to a small child. He, no doubt, removed himself from the gene pool to the greater benefit of the future world, but a, once, small child will now be known to everyone, including herself, as the kid who killed, for the rest of her life.

The fact that she thought the way to deal with anger was to shoot someone is why they need to help people deal with other than with violence! She should be charged with attempted murder even if she missed.
If she had been properly trained and practiced, she would have hit the target she intended or worse yet, her husband would be dead. If you pull out your gun, it better be to kill for the right reason.

The husband will survive, will come home and fuck the shit out of her until cows come home. That would be a good punishment. The cops should release her if the husband survives.
@St-Sinner Why should they release her? If a person intends on shooting a person, that is a crime even if they miss...she will get her day in court. I hope she gets jail time.

@St-Sinner He can, but that does not mean the prosecutor will...depends on the intended victim as well...the one she meant to shoot at...she was charged with attempted murder on him and felonious assault on her husband (since he was not really the one she meant to murder)...it could get dismissed if the case is weak (no witness)...
@thinktwice I suppose it will depend on how good her lawyers are and how good the arguments they will frame... such as she did not meant to shoot, she panicked, she just intended to defend. Also depends on her criminal history.
@St-Sinner Yeah...and she is a white woman, so she will probably get more breaks...
@Deiter I quit carrying a gun in my car in Atlanta when my first impulse was to reach for it on the highway during rush hour...I was young, impulsive, and probably a bit too hot tempered...yeah...smart law to protect us all...
So, hopefully, before they reproduced?

A good produce can go bad in a church. All who are sitting in jails were good kids once.
Know the husband is not dead. He is going to come back and reproduce so good that she will feel he came back from hell.
I wanted to know more about the incident that led up to the shooting, but the story just had basically what was in the headline. It's tragic and stupid any way you look at it, no matter what the cause was.
