I was trying to figure out what artist has actually been on the most records and I came up with Louis Johnson, he was on Michael Jackson's biggest sellers and he was Quincy Jones go to guy. Hundreds of millions sold. Paul McCartney was my first guess but I can't even count all of Louis' session work.

Both played with Quincy and Herb Alpert,

Slash will play on pretty much anybody’s record, so he has to be right up there as well.
