And ourselves.

In my case this has resulted in a lost friendship with a man I have known for 50 years. We still speak but no longer go out of our way to be friends or talk on the phone. We no longer visit each other. The man is not into politics and not super bright but our split came when he told me in all sincerity that "Trump has done more for us in a short time than all the presidents before him." I exploded on him and the Trumper made this remark long before Trump himself said it at the NATO meeting where he was laughed at. Later Fox and other media played the video and cut out the laughter. I don't think my former friend even reads news in any form. To fact check might mean it was "fake news." He simply believes what he wants to believe.

Sometimes that could be a positive thing. I personally am not friends with anybody who is religious and supports Trump from my circle. Some of those friends I've known for a long time.
