I'm a Conservative and voted for President Trump. But just to show some folks that a few of us "Rethuglicans" have a sense of humor, and might be at least partially in touch with reality:

You know it does look a lot like this these days? πŸ˜‰

When one of my dear friends voted for Trump. He's since changed his mind. (He was just appalled by Hilary and felt he absolutely couldn't vote for her - "The Clinton's were having people killed you know!".

It's an interesting dynamic in this country.

Thanks for trying to bridge the divide.

Ha. I could be your "dear friend". Pretty much my exact reasoning. Thanks for your comment.

Couldn't agree more. πŸ˜‰

I'm trying to be honest!!!! πŸ˜†

@bigpawbullets Zounds! An honest redneck! What is the world coming to? πŸ€£πŸ˜‚

@Petter
I'll try to do better in the future.

@bigpawbullets In which case, don't vote Pence. All atheists would be crucified upside down if he had his way, I reckon.
Oh for a non god-fearin' politician!

A person leaving one of his rallies told a Jewish Dutch reporter to "go back to Auschwitz!"

I would say that this meme would be my response as well...

This is what you support...

[timesofisrael.com]

Hi....you got it....

Generalizations are fun!!
πŸ‘ŒπŸ˜Ž

@bigpawbullets It's not a generalization...it is a binary choice...you either agree with his racism or you don't...

@thinktwice
I was refering to your statement that one person left a rally and said something to a reporter that was inappropriate. But not all the rally attendees said something to the reporter. So you're generalizing about all the attendees based on an individual's action.

@bigpawbullets I came back here to say that I know you are a good guy in many ways, even though I don't understand how you can support a person of such opposite character as you...I know you intended this to be funny, but to those of us in the line of fire or who have family and friends in the line of fire, it is serious business and we fear for our safety. I did not mean a personal attack on you.

To be fair, it is not just one attendee...there were several at this one who also saluted in fascist style...at the rally held in our city, blacks and women walking by to get home were jeered and called disgusting names and had to run past the line getting into the rally. The crowds chant and cheer together in unison at trump making fun of a person's name...who does that other than a bully? It is not funny to make fun of people.

@thinktwice @bigpawbullets
I agree. It’s more and more disruptive and unsafe.
And I ask you: DO all the rally attendees have to behave this way for you to condemn this behavior and admit that it’s wrong, and dangerous?

@CarolinaGirl60 The dangerous part is that their leader, the president of the United States, fuels this type of behavior and brings out the worst in people while the good ones stand around and watch and say it is ok by their silence....kinda like watching an old Hitler movie to me...think of all of the good people that stood by as they dragged the Jews to the camps...but it "was only one or two people"...but I stood by and watched it all and did nothing... 😟

@thinktwice I totally agree. It’s hard to find a Trump supporter who openly condemns such behavior, though.

@CarolinaGirl60 If they don't condemn it, then they are complicit by their silence...calling something inappropriate is like saying gangrene is just a scratch...

@CarolinaGirl60
Ladies, I've not attended a political rally, ever. But I'd suspect there to be name calling, and disruptive behavior regardless of who's holding it. The loyal opposition usually shows up to protest. Maybe I'm thick skinned, but I'd not expect a political rally to be a calm, polite, peaceful event. Maybe you've unreasonable expectations of those folks who gravitate to these events.

@bigpawbullets Rallies held by Senator McCain were respectful and he even stopped a woman from promoting the birther agenda.

Rallies held by Candidate Obama never ended in cheers to harm others or chant disgusting things. I totally condemned Hillary for calling republicans deplorable at her rally.

There is a big difference in the rallies of respectful and policy endorsing Republicans and that of trump. You can try to skirt the issue and justify all you want...he promotes violent and hateful bullying and dangerous actions of the lowest of his base.

@bigpawbullets But you’ve seen them reported in the news. No need to plead ignorance, that doesn’t excuse you or release you from responsibility to get off that fence you’re perched on.

@thinktwice
Ok kiddo.
Water consumed... bread from a bread machine attended to, screaming cats fed..... so:
I agree with all your comments that you've stated in your response. McCain was a statesman and a gentleman, in my opinion. As was President Obama.
I really don't know who started the mudslinging in the last campaign. Probably Donald. But from my perspective, both the Democrats & Republicans have deteriorated into what I would expect to see in a third world political fight.

@CarolinaGirl60
Whoa.... CG60!!!
I don't plead anything. Ignorance or otherwise.
I have no need to be "released from responsibility".
I'm responsible to what and who I deem important.
That doesn't include you.
If I choose to like certain things an elected official does, and not like other parts of his lifestyle or political platform.... what business is it of yours?
You must be VERY IMPORTANT. πŸ™„

@bigpawbullets of course I’m very important; bless your heart...you didn’t know?! 😁😁 I’m a short, curvy gift to the world, little, loud and proud. And Southern!

@CarolinaGirl60
Oooo! A "Southern Belle"....
I like you even more!

@bigpawbullets 😊😘 Thanks, ya’ll!
