Hi everybody. Have been thinking of leaving and going to Canada. If you have lived there or do live there I would very much like to hear from you. I have never been outside USA. Thanks, Peace! Greg

Good luck to you. I have never been to Canada and my only problems with it would be that it is colder than here. Otherwise I would have no regret in going or living there.

I heard they're building a wall and having trump pay for it.

If i could, i would emigrate to Nova Scotia. It is too beautiful for words, has ocean weather, water everywhere and no nuclear power plants at all. I would also consider Newfoundland.

Some parts of Canada do not want immigration. Others, like Cape Breton Island, encourage it...climate like Connecticut, scenery like from "Lord of the Rings", no industry, declining population, waterfront homes on the market for 2 years for under $90,000 US

Canada is a bit expensive. And the winters are pretty long. You might wish to consider SE Asia or somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere like Columbia or Costa Rica. Lots of people from the US are choosing these areas to relocate. If I can ever afford to retire, I’ll be spending my sunset years in either Cambodia or Thailand.

I spend a lot of time in Viet Nam. Laos is nice and I also really like the people. Kind of like Viet Nam 25 years ago. My wife had to go to the hospital in Luang Prabang, Laos. Saw a French-trained Cardiologist for about half an hour. Total bill including Rx came to $1.40. You can afford to live there.

@rogueflyer

I dated a woman from Laos for awhile. Would have asked her to marry me if circumstances hadn’t kept us apart for far too long.

I’ve only been in Laos for a short visit after taking the boat across the Mekong River from Thailand. Wish I could have stayed longer and will definitely be exploring more of the country if my dream of retiring in SE Asia ever comes true.
