You are not alone, honey. I live in Dallas. Five months of internet dating and nothing. Well, there are plenty who only want FWB, NSA. Oh, but you must work out 7 days/wk or enjoy hiking, mountain climbing, etc. (which I cannot do). Or they have some kind of kink that's too kinky for me (and I'm a bit kinky). I am not an unattractive woman (that i am aware of). Or have (or had) a high-paying career (much of it was nonprofit/no pay). Or I'm not a fucking vegan!! Vegans (and some vegetarians) are so holier-than-thou, and it is NOT a healthier diet than an omnivores! Better stop before I get really riled up.

I just started looking around this site. I spend most of my time on Facebook, much different format than here! But it's nice to know there are so many likeminded people. Spent much of my life feeling like I was alone in not believing. Getting to the subject at hand, one of the problems non-believers have is networking. If you're a believer, you have a plethora of churches full of people that you know you have at least one thing in common with. As Athiests we have nothing like that, we spend most of our lives surrounded by thiests who we know do not accept what we believe (don't believe). And unless we are open in our lack of belief, it's very hard to discover those others in our environ who might feel the same way. Maybe there are more non-believers in your area than you think, it's just hard to root them out!

None religious makes you a very rare mammal on its own.

Having grown up in north Florida, I know that the big majority of men still living there are religious, bigoted, and ultraconservative. But in a city like Jacksonville, there have to be a number of men your age who have finally grown up intellectually, philosophically, and morally.Hope some can give you a strategy for finding them.

With all the snow birds (migrant retiree's) I would think that would be less of a problem. Keep your head up girl. Love will find you.
