I think they skip the foreplay and go straight to shagging.
I saw two birds kissing at the bus stop yesterday ... quite sexy
(Bird - old colloquial english for girl, just in case transatlantic crossing does not translate)

I believe it does translate in the US. I live in Canada and we are occasional "canoodling" users!
We use "birds" for women as well, especially after a certain age when we all start like to look like them. Men too.
