Turned 58 years old on the 12th of August and for sometime been pondering this whole life thing. On a scale of 1 to 10 of being a non believer, I'm a 20. As one grows older, at least myself, I have realized the futillity of life. We as humans are so subseptive to what we hear and read and are brainwashed. Consummerism and spending money we don't have is the American way. There's no such thing as American exceptionalism!

it's capitalism man. capitalism is flawed. socialism is likewise flawed. both for human reasons. so you work a balance going back and forth while operating - but if one side gets too powerful then the whole apparatus shudders and shakes and blows up. people have to be smart enough to see the balance ... but the powers that be are riding it into the ground to their favor violating this balance and all hell's breaking loose.

I agree. Adam Smith said pretty much the something in Wealth of Nations. He warned that markets have to be regulated because eventually man would manipulate them to their advantage.

I think you are worrying too much about things you can’t change. Get on with your life and let the big stuff sort itself out. After all, the big stuff is madero of lots of little stuff yours included.

Seems like you want to brainwash your peers into futility as the people you criticise do.

The poster shared an honest opinion. How do you get to the "brainwash" remark from that?
