This is a great piece. I did not know all of the facts. He's a hero, at least in these most awful times, he's one of my heroes.

Mario Woods was shot with 20 bullets and 5 in his back by many cops...the same cops who are possibly on patrol near or in 49ers stadium games.....Colin is a courageous truth telling hero ....he & Eric were brave to follow the example of DR MLKingJR non-violent resistance....the FBI did not investigate the murderous cops gunning down a 26 yr old black man...the same FBI that flies the flag NOT ENFORCING CIVIL RIGHTS LAWS AGAINST RACIST COPS....it is a genocide flag and a slave ship harbor song of 1812 ....I have refused to stand for decades and fly the flag upside down as a distress signal our society is ruled by racist polluter oil war crime profiteering bankster zionists

Muhammad Ali was one of my heroes, not because of his greatness as a boxer, but because of his stand against the war in Viet Nam.

Colin Kaepernick is this generation's Muhammad Ali.

Yeah, I think because his kneeling was for a very specific reason & involved a cop, the $$$$ powers to be have been afraid to step up & sign him. He's only 31 & in shape to play tomorrow. In my opinion he's quite a guy who stands tall for his beliefs.

@SeaGreenEyez I don't know about "one of the greatest athletes of all time", but certainly one of the most remembered, courageous and admired athletes of all time.
