O O P S ! Joe Biden inspires no one – not even his own wife

Much like Hillary Clinton in 2016, Joe Biden’s Democratic primary campaign has thus far cloaked itself in an aura of inevitability. You might not like Joe Biden. He might say racist or sexist stuff from time to time. His gaffes might be occurring at an alarming rate. He might have uninspiring policy ideas. But he’s going to win the primary anyway, so you better get used to him.

If at all a democrat gets to the White House in 2020, here are my preferences:

  1. Kamala Harris - AG
  2. Pete Buttigieg - DNC Chairman
  3. Jay Inslee - EPA
  4. Julian Castro - HUD again
  5. Bernie Sanders - HHS
  6. Steve Bullock - Interior Secretary
  7. Michael Bennet - Education Secretary
  8. Wayne Messam - Race Relations Adviser

  1. Joe Biden - Go to a Retirement Home

the chump is a piss baby and about as unAmerican as you can get. his popularity is just a symptom of about half of this ill nations nazi infection. the uber dreamers can go suck eggs as far as I'm concerned.

Joe Biden is exactly the kind of Dem this country doesn't need; a corporate PAC funded centrist with no ideas and no passion who will change nothing and should've retired 25 years ago. If this country is dumb enough to choose Joe Biden when they have Bernie and Liz as options then I'm giving up on caring what happens after that.

Everyone has their breaking point and that's going to be mine.

@Maninthebooth Are you seriously drawing a parallel between Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump? You, my friend, are delusional. Also petulance is a sudden display of aggravation/irrirtation. This is hardly sidden. After four interminable years of Trump's lies, corruption and all the damage he's doing to this country, if a decisive agent of change isn't embraced in the next election, I'll have had enough.

@Maninthebooth Where did I say it was Bernie or nothng? I'm good with Bernie, Liz, Tulsi, Julian, there are several Ds I'd feel good voting for. Bernie's my favorite because he represents the most sweeping changes -- something we need badly -- but if he doesn't get the nom, I have back-ups. The Ds who voted for Trump after Hillary shut out Bernie made an idiotic decision, one I expect they won't repeat in 2020.

Of course I voted for Hillary in 2016 even though she represents everything that's wrong with centrist Ds but the other choice was Donald fucking Trump so I held my nose and voted for her. She would've been a zero as president but she wouldn't have been the nuclear meltdown Trump's been..

@Maninthebooth We appear to agree on several points: Trump is garbage, we need a Dem in office and as such we will both be voting for whomever the D nom is, for better or worse. You may see the progressive candidates as unrealistic choices but theirs are the policies most Americans are excited about. The centrists have nothing to sell but the ststus quo -- we've had enough of the status quo. It's time for broad, sweeping changes. So get with the program, grow a pair and get behind the candidates who have ideas worth supporting. Biden is just another Hillary -- the safe, moderate, establishment choice -- have you forgotten that she lost against one of the most unpopular Rs ever to run?

People are excited by new ideas and the candidates most passionate about fighting for them. It's greatthat you'll vote D no matter who it is but the corporatist candidates you probably support are like a species of dinosaur that just hasn't gone extinct yet.

@Maninthebooth We could go back anf forth on this for the next year and a half. Progressive Dems poll consistently higher than centrists and you're going to see that continue through the 2020 election.

You mean he's already bought the nomination?

Joe Biden is a nice guy. He does not, however, have the fire in him to go head-to-head with the incumbent. I want somebody who gets fired up and yells back. I want somebody who really KNOWS the issues and has good, strong alternatives to suggest. I'm thinking of a guy named Bernie.

I agree. Joe Biden and the likes are hoping that the anger against Trump (possibly most among the liberals) will help them win in 2020. Thy think the time is right but not even closely aware how ruthless campaign Trump runs. I doubt whether Joe BIden can stand Trump's attacks in debates down the road. Biden could not even respond to Kamala Harris properly in the first debate.

We currently do not have any candidate that fires voters up. Getting fired up by Bernie Sanders among just the socialist liberals is not the same thing as that happening in the general.

@St-Sinner I'm not 'fired up' by anybody in politics...except maybe the Orange Baboon. I am VERY fired up about seeing him soundly defeated.

Politics is a very sad state of affairs once you actually understand the system.

@Fred_Snerd Why do you say that an ideal society would be a consensus of sincere nihilists?

@Fred_Snerd I just don't understand why it would be an ideal society under sincere nihilists. Just to be clear, I'm not asking the question to oppose your thinking, but I'm just trying to understand your thinking. Is it in thinking that there is no meaning to life that might make them be more generous or less corrupt?

1

He may be clumsy and boring. But he would bring some badly needed diligence and decency to the White House.

@creative51 Polls have Biden with the biggest lead over Trump.

If Joe Biden wanted to win the 2020 election, he should have just stayed home and it would have just happened.

people would go the polls and their thought process would be like this: Hmmm... I can vote trump a second term or Joe Biden? Hey, I know that guy lets vote for him!

But now people know who he actually is, and it's not going well for him.

@Bobsuruncle I'm not saying people won't vote for him, tons of people vote for Mickey Mouse. The question is what's his best strategy to win?

@Bobsuruncle Yeah, his best shot of winning was to go hide under a rock. Quite frankly I think it could have succeeded. Instead he made a fool of himself.

@Bobsuruncle I would argue that trump, Hillary, Biden, Obama, literally all of the rest of congress and more or less every other world leader who was not born into their role does it for the power. Power is a drug more potent than meth and more addictive than heroine, and it destroys lives.

2

If the democrats try to ram a lukewarm candidate down our throats again people will stay home on election day. Again. If Joe wins fair and square, then what can you do. But if the super delegates (which I hear they changed that system some but they are still there) overrule the results of the primaries, like last time, I don't like where that's gonna wind up.

This time again, it is going to be a choice between two bad candidates in 2020

@Bobsuruncle Or you don't vote, which is how we wound up with twinkletoes the moron.

@St-Sinner major flaw in your theory: hrc was the most qualified candidate ever to run. not a bad candidate at all. much maligned, yes. look up david bossie.

Trump! 2020!!!!
👌😎

yes, absolutely, trump for prison, 2020!

g

@genessa Possible if he loses. Even the Senate impeachment won't do it.

@St-Sinner current senate won't convict. future senate might, but that would require his winning first, and that would say a lot about our country that would make me sick.
