Love that this image came up after entering "sanctimonious twatwaffle" in Dogpile search engine.

[Text reads]

"Realizing just how many supporters Trump has is like turning on the kitchen light and revealing a massive cockroach infestation.

I honestly didn't think there were that many of them and now I need to call the Orkin man before they take over and destroy my home."

Love it. Out here in Australia we used have an advert that went " Get a Flick man, he's the answer, remember ONE flick and they're GONE."

If I dwell on how many supporters he has, it frightens me. We need to fight harder with truth to power.

They are a frightening bunch.

I thought when Trump talked about the rat infested shithole he was talking about the White House and Mar a Lago

Haha, that’s a good analogy. I wish we could get to the root of the problem as in why there are so many of them and start doing something about it though.

The reason why there is so many of them is because there is so much ignorance and apathy in 'merca. Most of them are unable to think for themselves and rely on authority figures to tell them how to think and what to do. Preachers, talk show personalities, faux news, etc.

In Trump's particular case, it is about throwing a brick through the window of "the establishment." I didn't see Brexit coming (I thought it would be like 75% to remain and 25% to leave). I was shocked, but I learned from that. When it was Trump vs. Clinton, I was trying to find out laws regarding betting on the US presidential election for a US citizen because I was ready to bet on Trump. A lot of people didn't want a polished politician who they knew would lie to them and screw them over. They didn't know what Trump was, but he wasn't a standard politician. He is also a master orator and con-man. He knows how to read an audience and play to them. He knows what sells, which lately has been a fear of things changing too fast away from a romanticized view of 'Merica. He sold an idea of a serial adulterer who lies and embodies pretty much everything Jesus was against to a bunch of Evangelicals because at least he was a man (and women aren't born to lead according to Paul). There are a lot of people who are afraid of change and he knows how to reach them to get them out for him and against others. That is his power, and he is good at it. The trick is to soften the message and give hope instead of just playing off the fear. Hope of change in the right way will make people come out in favor of somebody new or at least stay home as they are split. Sorry, but a lot of it is a game in the end.

I tend to pin it down to fundamental problems with the education system aggravated by watching meaningless TV programmes and shows for years but also personality. Somehow, most of these people (sorry, this may sound rude but I can't think of a nice synonym) come across as not liking to be honest with themselves in the first place. I've observed it in different countries. There may be something else, for example, fear and hence intolerance, but this trait of not being brave enough to acknowledge own issues seems to be the dominant one.

Sadly, no one seems to want to solve this problem. Politicians only target their audiences, which leads to further segregation and breaking a nation into pieces. That is not constructive because at the end of the day these people do belong to their nations too.

Maybe if I could read the text.

@WilliamCharles That sums up the situation.
