I buy a Veggie Delite sandwich at the local Subway most lunchtimes. All but one of the employees there are "Red Hats". The exception just happens to be the smartest of the bunch (I know this from observation, and no, conservative trolls, I did not administer a Stanford-Binet), and she confessed to me that she has to keep a low profile among the barbarous throng. This situation, unfortunately, is a microcosm that's being repeated in many workplaces throughout the country.

As long as they give you your sandwich without political claptrap.... Veggieis BTW also my favorite choice at Subway....provolone or swiss, if they have Swiss...you?

@Winkiedink54 veggies actually harbor few pathogens...but putting new stuff on top of old might do it! A call to the Health Inspector (you will be anonymous!) Should help, it is such a simple thing to fix.....

@Winkiedink54 I dunno, maybe you could get somebody else to call you "honey"....?

I feel for her but this is increasing in to workplace of today. With current politics in place it can only get worse.

Sadly, the worker was in a GED/minimum wage job, as is typical for most Trump followers.

With each passing day, I become more convinced that really bad things
are on the horizon.
It's going to become even more ugly than it is now.
There are going to be too many people who are going to be completely
unprepared, and many of them will suffer.

@Donotbelieve I have NO doubt that you are. 😉

please try to persuade her that if she can without physically endangering herself, for the good of the country she must become subversive and filter actual facts into their thick skulls.

That's the norm where I live except some places are all red hats. The thing that I find amazing is I don't think the majority of the red hats in my area know why they are red hats. I think it's a lot like religion. That's the way they were brought up and have never thought to question things.

@Winkiedink54 Most of humanity has been that way for much of history. Any big enlightenment was usually limited by the area, scope, gender, age, and economic status of the people.
