I had the same thought!!
McConnell can only hold off so long. The tRumpthuglicans may push tRump to resign for the good of their party and tRump may find out he won't be re nominated in the convention. Pence would be a stand in for a few short months. Bill Weldon is already running. tRumpthuglicans don't stand a chance of holding the White House. They may be smart enough to back off and regroup.
