PG&E should compensate customers for power shutoffs, California governor says
When a power company shuts off power in certain areas and does this repeatedly they are not big enough to take care of the public's needs. I do not see this as trying to prevent a fire from spreading.
In California, fires are a Huge life-threatening problem, it's highly irresponsible (perhaps manslaughter-level criminal) to not do everything possible to prevent them.
@AnneWimsey I got this from Bill Maher. He says when they turn off the power everyone is lighting lamps and candles so it does not make everything safer.
