Who is this idiot! I have heard less offensive comments from the religious peanut brains!

I know the name and considered she was just another over-privileged non- singer.

It seems it’s worse.

She was raised by successful model mom and hillbilly singer dad. Something like this was bound to happen at some point.

You mean the gal making major fool of herself in several videos has opened her mouth & made a fool or herself Again? Who'd a thunk it?

Hey.....she makes big money with that persona....it works for her.

@HankSherman Glad that the yoof culcher is in tune with the pervading sentiment of the Age. Makes you feel just warm and fuzzy for the kids growing into it! 😱

@Geoffrey51 thank you....I also, think our youth are special, and like myself, and I'm sure, you, constanely strive for perfection....

@HankSherman naaaah, "perfection" is a terrible trap that stifles initiative...if you can't do it perfectly, why bother? Once I learned this (i was raised to be perfect, and by this I mean A+ was the only thing good enough, normal "A" required more work) and learning I did not have to be perfect was a major turning point in my life!

@AnneWimsey I once counciled a young man that cried and had rashes when he could'nt get 100s on school work, that too strive for perfection was a virtue....that to expect perfection, from himself, or anyone else, was irrational.

@HankSherman then why the comment above?

@AnneWimsey what is your take on my comment?

@HankSherman "you......strive for perfecttion" ??? K8nd of speaks for itself, then you describe counseling a young person & appear to contradict yourself completely......

@AnneWimsey ahh....now I see my problem...thank you....

Oh god that’s about as bad as it gets!

@Geoffrey51 like it

What a silly girl Miley is - that so many even pay attention is what is troubling. Technology is a wonderful thing but there are down sides, just sayin'.

4

No surprise there then...air headed no talent superstar shoots off her mouth to her billions of airheaded followers and outrage ensues! This woman is clearly uneducated and uninformed, anyone who thought she could ever say anything remotely intelligent are morons. I’m sorry for those in the LBGT community who have been justifiably enraged by her ravings, but if it’s lost her some fans that can only be to the good!

4

Consider the breeding stock...

4

Jesus fucking god, sure glad I never said a stupid sounding thing like that when I was a kid........

3

She's a little twerp trying to be relevant, and she can't sing either.! LOL

3

She is a girl who did not finish growing up and did not know how to handle fame. It just went to her head quickly and lost balance.... just like another failure called Greta Thunberg

@vjohnson51
Ha... Ha... A good one.

She is an ill-behaved, ill-mannered high school age girl whose parents fucked up big time and did not take her to mental disability treatment.

@vjohnson51
You have no idea how lucky you are. We had to see, read about and tolerate these idiots.

At least Greta is trying to get people to wake up and do something positive.

@Corden

This is not true. She is not waking up people, she is crying wolf and she is doing it very badly by yelling at world leaders with disrespect, bad manners and not understanding that being invited to speak at the UN is a privilege, not a right. She could be thrown out in most places around the world for that irrational behavior. The environmental activists are facing a backlash and now regretting to make Greta Thunberg their spokesperson.

Although climate change caused by man is real, the urgency is fake. There are many dire issues in the world currently where if we did not do something today, people will die tomorrow of simple food starvation, eradicated diseases in the rich, Western world. It is a fallacy to say that no other problems would matter if we did not stop the climate change now. There have been numerous disaster predictions about climate change disasters in the last 50 years since 1970s including end of the world predictions. Al Gore predicted that the world would freeze in 2014. Not a single of those predictions has come true.

Not even 10% of the people who enthusiastically support climate change panic understand what is really happening. Everybody cites science to back up their claim. Oh yes, so did the businesses who sold you safe plastics, safe processed foods, safe opioids, safe fertilizers, safe asbestos and safe wine is good for your heart - the good mantra using 'scientific' surveys. Each one of these has been proven harmful to your health. There is science, weird science and junk science. It takes millions and billions of years to have a climate disasters to end the world. It is not on the horizon. Just relax and enjoy the beautiful Sun outside.

Think independently and stop joining the chorus without understanding what is happening.

@Corden I agree, no one is listening to the distinguished Sir Attenborough, perhaps because they don’t want to be rude to him. If they listen to Greta it’s good as far as I’m concerned. Living with our heads in the ground isn’t solving anything. Hopefully here in the uk fracking will stop because of alternative power, but it’s a close thing. The better our batteries get and other innovations, the better shape we’ll be in down the track.

@vjohnson51
Environmentalist? Not really. She is a victim of activists who were looking for a pony to carry their baggage and also of careless parents who allowed her not to finish growing up, not to finish school and not teach her basic lessons of manners, etiquette, behavior, respecting others and how to address a world gathering. She is young, I could understand why she could be young and stupid but I am afraid that she is growing up old and stupid.

Read about Malala Yosoufzai, another young activist who addressed the UN General Assembly on her 16th birthday and you will understand the difference between the two. Malala's native language is not even English but notice the poise, eloquence, oratory, message delivery, the respect she gave and the respect she received with a standing ovation from world leaders. Watch videos of both on YouTube and you will arrive at your own conclusion.

@vjohnson51
Not a shocker to me. Thanks

Although I am by no means a fan of hers I have no problem with what she said. Nowadays the media and pop culture demonize straight men every opportunity they can with the #metoo movement and the term toxic masculinity. The sad part about it is the men built everything that we have and if it wasn't for a man getting your momma pregnant none of you would be here.

Thank you for a non-gurgitive response.

On the plus side, it's been a while since she's licked a hammer or swung on a wrecking ball in the nude...

[livescience.com]

“Unlike men, who are usually sexually oriented solely toward men or women, and whose sexuality is essentially fixed from puberty on, a decade of research by the University of Utah psychologist Lisa Diamond and others demonstrates that women have greater "erotic plasticity." Their sexual orientation can be shaped by cultural influences, altered by positive or negative experiences and intensified by feelings of love or attachment. Women are far more likely than men to "report remarkably late and abrupt onset of same-sex sexuality, often after heterosexual marriage," Diamond wrote in January in the Archives of Sexual Behavior.”

It doesn’t sound like such a horrible thing to say—that you can find a good man who wants you—you don’t have to become a lesbian.

Of course with her good looks it’s easy for her to say. 🙂

That actually sounds like a terrible thing to say; like being a lesbian is an awful fate and should be avoided by all means. "Go out there and find a good man, so you won't be stuck with a woman!"

I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, or I hope you didn't mean it that way.

@Paul4747 No one is saying that being a lesbian is a horrible fate. If you prefer apples you don’t have to settle for oranges. There are some apples out there if you look.

Nothing wrong with oranges.

Some people must be awfully sensitive and insecure about their choice to have so drastic a reaction to such an innocent statement.

It’s a bit denigrating to anyone whose lifestyle is not engaged in heteronormativity!

@Geoffrey51 As long as we keep it at only a “bit” denigrating then I am forced to concur, but only a bit.

Er no! It does sound like a horrible thing to say, not to mention completely wrong!! Being let down by a man in a relationship does not normally make women feel like they want to try a lesbian girlfriend next time...I’m a woman and think I have more first hand experience of whether heterosexual women can suddenly decide to feel sexually attracted to other women. The answer is we can’t because we are sexually attracted to men not women. There are certainly bi-sexual women..just as there are bi-sexual men, but that is quite a different thing altogether.

@Allamanda I think that may be a possibility, but I also think that in the case of older women who have been married and have children earlier in their lives and who then find happiness in a same sex relationship later in their lives, they may have repressed their true feelings for fear of going against convention at that time. It has been shown frequently to have be the case with men who married women but then “came out” as gay later. I’m sure it must have been the case for both men and women. We must remember that until relatively recently it was considered deviant and illegal by society in general, not just the religious.

That’s Miley Cyrus. Her name is in the article title.

Yes, that’s as may be, but WHO is she to make such a deeply offensive remark and not realise its nonsense, worse not recognise how derogatory it is to a marginalised section of the community anyway!

@Geoffrey51 I don’t get what the fuss is about.

@indirect76 these people have millions of followers/worshippers, who hang on their every thought. With great power comes great responsibility, or being called out for being careless & nasty! So, Miley, watch yer mouth!

@AnneWimsey I don’t get what the fuss is about with what she said.

@indirect76 ....just wow..........

@AnneWimsey If someone said “hey, women can be successful in the business world. You don’t to be a male...” I would not get upset because the statement was implying that being a male is a choice. So I don’t really get the fuss.

1

She's a peanut brain so called singer, daughter of a third rate country singer, who is confused about her sexuality.

1

Oh dear 😐 no doubt she has been duly educated.

1

As Rodney King once said in Los Angeles... "Can we... Can we all get along?"

1

Another on line witch burning.

1

Most of this relates to Cyrus's poor communication skills.

The side note that is omitted is Cyrus's misandry. This is supposed to be taken as a given for a young woman.

The eddumakation I've achived from this site, is amazing

1

"I was talking shit about sucky guys". She certainly has a way with words.

0

To all the shit-heads who have posted on this thread: : : SHAME ON YOU FOR YOUR ATTACKS ON HER PERSON AND NOT HER IDEAS.

So very TRUMP of you all.

No fucking wonder the lefters will lose another election to someone less stupid than who you all support.

0

whatever drug she was doing, she should give it up.
