Not so long ago elderly religious friends of mine came by wanting me to make a DVD of their own house security footage. This was hours and hours of indoor footage because they just knew that someone was coming into their house while they were gone. I did the conversion to DVD's and they asked me if I had watched it. Hell, no! Why would I waste my time watching non-moving video tape?

Do you get more paranoid as you get older? Maybe you misplaced your car keys and found them on the wrong dresser. I have no real explanation. What do you think?

Do people get more paranoid as they get older? As a trend I cannot say. Some do and some do not. If you haven't watched the video, though, how do you know it is unmoving? This couple may indeed be paranoid... or not. Either way, it may have nothing to do with age. It may or may not even have to do with their being religious. But since they think someone has been coming into their house, did they by any chance say what made them think so?

I made the video to DVD's to make them happy. It seems that they thought things inside their house were getting moved to other areas, or sometimes were simply disappearing. I only watched enough of the video to see that what I did actually worked.

@DenoPenno i can't blame you for not watching it because of its length, or even if it was short it wasn't your job to watch it, right? but since you didn't watch it, i do wonder how you know it revealed nothing that they were fearing. did they say they watched it and found nothing, or is it too early for them to have watched it all, or...? i am curious, you see, as to why you're sure nothing was happening.

@genessa This was all some time ago and everywhere they go they think people are coming into their place while they are gone. Every house they rent. I feel that it is not really normal to think like that and later you might say "ah-ha. I have found the person coming into our place and moving things around and they were on the video." They have never told me they found anything and I am sure they watched it.

@DenoPenno Okay that certainly puts a more specific spin on it. How sad to live like that.

I think it was good of you to do it. Maybe they'll watch and understand nobody's been there? Feel sorry for them and be glad you helped.

god will bless you.
