This afternoon ought to be interesting a Byzantine Catholic church near me is having a homemade food products sale which I intend to stop by and see what they have, being my car is covered with humanist stickers it might prove interesting. Wish me well please.

I’m sure there will be plenty of delicious things to sample. I shouldn’t think that having humanist stickers on your car will make any difference to you buying food from this church sale. In any case unless it’s in the car park who’s going to notice them?

yes there were lots of goodies I ended up buying some kielbasy I'll find out how it tastes tomorrow morning when it's done.

Be careful if you eat their food you might get food poisoning. A while back I attended a covered dish function and foolishly sampled a lot of the food....I spent the next two days vomiting and sitting on the toilet.

@Allamanda Again, not everyone observes sanitary conditions in home cooking. Food poisoning is far more common than most people realize.

It was a warning. Perhaps people bring a covered dish to an event and it sits in their hot car, then sits unrefrigerated on a table , bacteria thrive and people get sick. Then again...there are people who intentionally try to harm others. If you don't know who cooked it and when, maybe it is better to abstain. @Allamanda

There is one local to me that does a Greek food festival every year its pretty good, non denominational, community oriented rather than overtly religious so I had no problem with it. And gyros.

I had one near me in Pennsylvania, but Polish. So perogies. 🤗

It's has nothing to do with religion, just private kitchens.
Not everyone observes sanitary practices.
