This is the village a mile from where I live
We had Torrential rain on Friday, through to Saturday evening. My yard and garden were flooded, but not the bungalow. Roads, bridges, rail were all closed ..and no electricity; the whole area was at a standstill, but getting back together now.
Some of my friends and neighbours still have waist deep water in their homes.

an update - water is receding. Some low lying places are being pumped dry and water put back in the river. The ground is so wet it simply can not absorb and soak away the water

Glad you’re safe...have been watching the flooding on TV. Horrendous for those under water...glad you were spared that...keep safe!

That's a lot of water indeed. Looks very familiar, as our Midwest area here in the U.S. looked like this in the spring this year. Climate change is bringing much hell to the entire planet. I hope you are safe.
