Witness: They tolerate me. You'll do fine.
Going to England soon, myself. That's about as close to a coincidence as I can muster.

Hello and welcome. There are quite a few UK members here, and even I am from Lincolnshire which is nearly in the UK, even if the rest don't agree.

Wow, Isle of Wight...wasn't there an Agatha Christie book set there?

Don't know but the country home of Albert and Victoria, Osborne House is there and so is Carisbrooke Castle where Charles the first was held before his trial. It is quite close to the mainland and is therefore the venue for the Cowes sailing regata.

@Fernapple I was at carrisbrooke last week its just up the road from me interesting place. I havnt got around to osborne yet

Be careful eating stuff from the Garlic farm, an uncle of mine is buried just uphill from it...
He had a great service.. Church of Scotland minister who was the chaplain of the Royal Navy Portsmouth giving an atheist service!
Otherwise, welcome.

Howdy from Las Vegas. Plenty of UK folks, but no matter where we come from the sentiment is mostly the same across the board. šŸ™‚

I'm Irish.

Welcome!!! My Great Great Grandfather is Irish and English, so Iā€™m looking forward to hearing more about whatā€™s going on over there. The reason why I said that is my motherā€™s family is just letting that cat out the bag !! Lol

Hello and welcome to you on the IOW. I live in Northern Ireland, and there are a few other Brits here too, from around the country. As you say most of the others are American with quite a few Canadians too. Just browse the site and get the feel of it, and add your tuppenceworth to the debates. Join a few groups if you feel drawn to any of them, but above all enjoy yourself.

Welcome to asylum. Enjoy your stay.

There are a number of members from the UK, and other parts of the world.
The longer you stick around and participate, the more of them you're likely to meet.

Welcome. I have ancestors from the Isle of Wight. šŸ™‚
