I found that although Europe is supposed to be religious the population really isn't. Germany even has a church tax. I believe they told me it was 3 or 4 %.

@Heraclitus I like that hahaha. And I agree. I'd like to revisit the question next year. We're studying religion in society in the new year.
It is int4eresting to note that the least developed (economically, intellectually) countries are the most religious. I think we could say the same about regions in the USA.

Where do you see prosperous and rich countries in the map? I mostly saw Eastern European countries that just came out of the USSR block in the late 1990s. The religiosity is still low because the Soviets did not allow religion for 65 years. Did I miss something in the article?
What warms my hear is that the countries who made colonies around the world and took religion with them to spread have less religious people today - the U.K., France, Spain, Portugal. It is beautiful.
