I started reading the bible recetly, and I'm 11 pages into genisis, and the shear substance of what was in those 11 pages just amazies me that people take this book seriously.

Have you the a holy book? if so did it have any effect on how you viewed that religion?

Most of the people who "live by the bible" have never read the bible.

Crazy thing is that it's not even a book. Rather, it's more like an anthology of an ancient people, written for ancient reasons. And modern people 'project' upon it. Freud was right.

I just categorize it as fantasy-fiction and it becomes a whole new book worth reading ?

Yes, I've read it, for a biblical exogesis course in college, and it solidified my views related to Christian religious validity (it has none).

I have tried reading it, but just can't get past Genisis, actually the first couple of paragraphs stop me. It's too rediculous, and I can't believe anyone could actually believe that stuff!

Don't worry..none of those alt-right religious read anything, much less the Bible. They have no idea what it says, and just parrot what they're told in church. I doubt the preachers read it either or they would gag at all the violence, crimes, murder, etc, and that's just stuff GOD did.
