We expected this all along.

Not very likely ... Iranians are not that stupid ... but they and their proxies will continue to ferment problems around the world.
May have been better for the west if Iran had done enough to provide an excuse for USA to launch missiles against a whole load of military bases and nuclear R& facilities and destroy at one stoke much of Iranian power and influence.
As it stands, we are back to business as usual ... which is not a great outcome.

The only real issue hanging in the air is the reaction of Iranian supported militias in Iraq ( reportedly about 100,000 men) who may take their own reprisals over the killing of their leadership)

I am sure the orange fungus does not think he started a war. He does not do this type of stuff. It has to be someone else who is responsible.

I have some really dumb questions. Didn't the US military expect something like this? Why don't they have anti-missile systems at these bases?
