Love doesn't mean, or even have anything to do with liking someone. Though admittedly, people do make it awful difficult. But it should always be a goal. Agree.

It was easy for Jesus to say love thy neighbour, he was a nomad who presumably lived in a tent, and did not have to listen to drunken renditions of "Loving you is easy cos you're beautiful" at half past three in the freaking morning.

That may be the ideal, but in reality, there are some people who say or do aggravating things, so the best we can do is learn how to live with it, create some compromising attitude, or learn how to keep our distance to keep the peace.

That's Jesus speak from the Bible. I don't have to like them, and sure as hell don't have to LOVE them (I may choose to, but that is my prerogative). If you want me to accept a biblical absolute I won't fuckin' kill them. lol. But that's about it...

3 doors down and across lives a registered pedophile . He is in and out of jail . The house belongs to his mother , she is very old , and he lives there when not in jail.

Hey neighbors can be ignored; yet I rather interact( and be at
peace) with humanity; especially community.
We can agree to disagree- nobody likes the same ice cream.
If principles come first( and they DO) they know I
am a rock on certain issues ; I don't tell them how or
what to think( I gently hint nudge or express FACTS ), what
they decide is on thier concience. Thier actions ,if they harm or injure me or others- elliciate a in kind response(not escalate) because the behavior is not excepted.- I am trying to work with the individual-
Some, if they act SO IRRATIC that action is fruitless
or dangerous ~ i monitor closely while in thier presence and
remove myself quickly and quietly.I pass the time of day with folks i know are conservitive(my siblings are) but I gravitate to like minded folks.
So this list has folks that DID and DO try to
force thier VALUE SET on me ; I listen and try
and understand thier view×verifying the FACTS×

me" which I rejected and later excepted.(open
minded- not gullible). Finding different unbiased
info was much easier in the 80's& 90's,today I see

I happen to like most of my neighbors, but then I don't really interact with them very much. But the one I do spend time with is a die hard Republican/Trump fan, we just don't discuss politics as her and I head to the gun range. LOL!

Not me. There are too many people I don't like or respect. I believe in avoiding my neighbors. It makes life much easier.
