I think I suffer with this same issue. I support men that break traditional gender norms/roles, but I find myself uncomfy with feminine appearing straight, cis-men. I am wondering if it is baggage from being raised by very stereotypically gender conforming parents as well as being raised catholic. Hopefully with time, I will get over myself.

My take: Clothing has no gender. Long ago, women who dared to don pants were scandalous. Male fashion used to include kilts or tunic "dresses", tights, and heels. Personally, I find Scottish kilts smoking hot and modern man skirts super attractive (and in no way, non-masculine). I can totally understand being drawn to the complexity of dresses. Why does that have to be seen as emasculating?

And a dude in a kilt is hot! We just aren't as used to regular dresses on males - however Billy Porter rocked one at the Oscars last year and that was hot ( evening gown). YMMV....
