Trump wants to fire everybody who does not subscribe to his highly warped view of reality.

If all of the 2% of those who die with the disease in the US end up being Trump supporters, I would be tempted to believe there was a God, one with a sense of humor, rather than just karmic justice. But I doubt that will happen and more likely we are doomed....

In 2018 the CDCs budget was drastically cut and the pandemic response team was disbanded. Only 3 of the 100 public health labs are able to test for the virus. So, here we are with Pence in charge. 🤦♀️

Well, mother's fucker, and notorious ass kisser and science denier, VP Pence is Trump's person in charge to take care of this, we are all screwed!

Fucking Trump is going to lay waste to this country worse than I ever imagined!

The NIH and the CDC both had their funds cut by the genius. He also fired the person who was responsible for taking care of what we need now. The stable genius is doing what he does. Lying through his teeth, giving the American people the finger,, and putting the responsibility for doing something to a person who can do nothing but look at the asshole in amazement. We are fucked. Oh, almost forgot. The statistics tells us that the disease will only kill no more than two percent. Glad of this as that means there will only be 6,600,000 trump supporters die. This is not good, I do not make light of this, but some have to learn that we get what we vote for. Perhaps we can pick someone who is smart and intelligent next time.

That is a little unfair. CDC's protocols are well established and work. If there is a hesitation in using South Korea's test kits, I have a hunch there may be a good reason.

I worked for the CDC the summer of 2007. Their scientists are the best in the world. There protocols are almost beyond question. They take their work as serious as a Navy Seal on mission.

The reason that the last three pandemics were not any worse is because of the CDC and their methods. I know its popular to criticize an agency because it part of our bureaucracy. But they in no way resemble other agencies.

They are being muzzled by Trump and now Mike Pence. I trust the CDC.

So do I.

The biggest fear and hesitation is that Pense and Trump apply enough pressure and coercion that the CDC are forced to circumvent or short circuit their protocols to achieve political cover up.

He says, don't worry, we can hire more doctors when we need them.

Not sure I fully followed that, but yeah, the US does appear to be woefully unprepared for this, and Trump still hasn't grasped that this is real.
