Well, i wanted to buy a 6-pack of pansies for the planter i see out my back door all day...they are pretty fleeting in this climate, heat just wilts them.
But, no pansies to be had. WalMart had plenty of bathing suits, though. WTactualF?

Spring must come earlier in CT. We normally have one more blizzard here on the north coast.

Surrounded by water...ocean, several major rivers, and this year the warmest, by far, of my entire life

Pansies even in pots laugh at blizzards, as long as it warms back up.

How about vinca? Very flowery but they have woody stems and more hearty in the heat. Also kalanchoes..i was looking at some the other day with two toned flowers that look sort of like pansys

@annewimsey usually people plant pansies in the fall. The live all winter until mid spring. It is kind of late to plant them now.

No, not here...too cold in winter (usually). They only sell them in Spring, at the garden centers, then we plant something else as soon as it gets hot....there is a small perennial with pale, bluish limited color, that comes up in lawns, but it's not an actual pansy

If you scrunch them up just right, a few of those bathing suites should add a lot of nice color to your planter and view! 😂😂

If all cruises are cancelled, I might be able to buy them for less than pansies, lol!
