Well, I don't know about anyone else around my part of Western New South Wales, BUT as of today I'm ready for when we switch over to the N.B.N. system.
Spent $216.00 of my credit accrued with Telstra and today my NEW Smart Modem arrived, ready to hooked up with the N.B.N. network. A pretty darned fancy looking bit of gear if I might add it is to.
Don't want to spoil your party, but having had the NBN for years I can tell you that your paid speed will never be the same as your actual speed. Also, all that bru ha ha about NBN is all very well, but the weakest link will always be your router. It will drop out, be affected by other people's wifi, so if you think your rebooting days for your router are over, I'm sorry to disappoint you. Also, i hope you are a rich man and can afford the outrageous cost of the highest NBN speed. All the best. Were it not for my teaching, I would ditch NBN and just have mobile internet. I think Australia wasted a huge amount of money on fibre optic and should have gone for national mobile internet, with no friggen router required or boxes or wires at home. Just my view.
Won't be worrying about getting the top NBN speed or rates, mostly just need to get on it since they reckon B.Hill will be going to NBN around May the First.
