My understanding is that they go dormant too. Some things we build natural immunity to ~ others just go dormant .
I find it very fascinating; the point of WHY it( they) stop
spreading ? Science says even Ebola is lurking and could start up at any time ; they have no clue why it stopped.
Warm weather could have curtailed the slowing of the
COVID 19 outbreak in China.

Wow. Are they becoming more frequent?

Some people have related this to the uncovering of the last virgin forests and melting of ice.

@girlwithsmiles Yes, I've read that as well. I believe the uptick in the last 100 years has to do with mobility though.
