I know there are others here who are using their hobbies to occupy them while they’re “social distancing”. I had posted my progress a couple of weeks ago on this apothecary cabinet I was building. Here are the latest pictures. I guessed I’m finished, unless I decide to make a stand for it.
I’ve always liked this type of cabinet, and wanted to build one for years, but it’s tedious work building 40 box jointed drawers. Anyway, what do you think?

Beautiful work ! Extravagant dovetailing.
What kind of wood? What will you put in the drawers?

Thank you! It's all oak, except for the drawer boxes which are poplar. I have no idea what it will be used for. It's the first project I've done that was not out of necessity or for someone else. I just built it because I love furniture with tons of drawers.

Very nice. Is it Pine?

No, pine in it. Drawer fronts and the case is red oak. The drawer boxes are poplar.

It is beautiful. How many hours did that take?

I wouldn't even be able to give you a good guess, other than to say a lot of hours.

Beautiful and it looks like oak fronts which is difficult to work with and the vintage hardware really sets it off...congrays on your fine work! You have my permission to call yourself "Craftsman"!

I was guessing oak also. The sides may not be? I guess pine on the sides.

Thank you!

Wow, beautiful work, and a beautiful by-product of social distancing! I hope it's everything you wanted it to be.

Thank you! It is.
