Remember to follow the money... The Republican party has always been about small government and less regulation - that lead to the banking crises in 2008... now we are watching the movie Jaws when the police chief urged them to close the beaches and the Mayor said we can't - it is a holiday weekend and we will lose money... Trump and many Republican governors are refusing to issue mandatory stay at home orders, they are pandering to the corporate establishment that will lose billions if the economy shuts down - which it must... always remember what Trump said "we can't let the cure be worse than the disease" he is not that clever - some of his corporate advisers are directing his decisions as they always have. It's never about the people - "it's not personal ...it's just business."

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.We seem to be seeing something somewhat similar here in Australia where our ScumMo Prime Minister is far more intent upon bailing out/keeping afloat the Big End of Town Business concerns, etc, than he is upon assuring that the REAL financial bases of these Big End of Towners, i.e. the ordinary/average people WHO spend THEIR money in or with the businesses on a daily basis have the very necessary funds to survive this pandemic.
What good is any business IF there are NO customers left to purchase its products or services?

They all have free healthcare paid off of our backs, retirement at ten times or more than we earn in a lifetime!!!

I agree with your every word here, Jim. As usual my Texas relative posted in Facebook today about how it was wrong for everyone to hope that Trump failed. In defense of her hero she immediately started talking about everyone else.
I'm gonna remember that if I ever have to defend my mother. Just start talking about other women.
