Just watched a 2 part series on PBS about Cuba. Part one was about how the island is the top place in the Caribbean for the health of its environment both on land and sea. [facebook.com]

Part 2 was about how Castro, from the onset, promoted science especially when it concerned people’s health. All Cubans have full health coverage and it is now a world leader in cancer research. [pbs.org]cancer-hope-preview-7decgv/ They have, despite crippling embargos, actually developed a vaccine for some forms of cancer. Please don’t give me the crap about how the people live. That’s a whole different story. A dictator can be a benevolent one. Ours is absolutely NOT!!!

People just don't get it. When society is hurting it is our government that is supposed to be there to help. That's what We the People is all about.
And that is exactly the point blending ways to run a country seems as tho it could be the easiest thing in the world to do and yet here we are.
