Does hell exist? Christianity fell apart for me when I rationalized that the version of the afterlife that Jesus supposedly saves us from contains a disproportionate punishment, namely eternal torture, for the crime of not accepting Jesus as the savior from that punishment.
I couldn't imagine sending my child away to be tortured because he doesn't acknowledge the sacrifices I make for him.
