Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.If W Bush lowered the bar to where we couldn't imagine it to go lower, and then Trump still took it 10-steps lower, and yet we STILL failed to properly impeach and remove him, and the Republican Senate practically endorsed all his illegal acts and crimes... then what can we expect from the next Republican President? More of the same. That one will surely continue on this path and seek more power and wealth for himself and the top 10% while making the lower 90% pay for it all. Do you think the Republican Party has a future at all, or will they take the whole pie the next time they ascend to the throne?

W.'s presidency lowered the bar for everyone after him, partly how we ended up with Trump. W. proved that we could get by with a prez that seemed about as smart as an untrained chimp. Hence, W.'s nickname, Chimp Mc Knightly...

I think the problem is that Republicans and Libertarians are pro-anarchy. They want to destroy the government ("drown it in a bathtub" ), so they can have complete liberty without any laws to hold them back. Therefore, they vote for incompetent idiots who will do all they can to destroy the government.
@BestWithoutGods Jimmy Carter was the last truly decent man, in my opinion, to become prez. He was also a pretty smart guy. He was a nuclear engineer in the Navy before he became a peanut farmer and governor of Georgia.
