It is interesting that some of our so called experts are saying that the virus can only survive outside the body for a very short period of time in the heat and that chlorine is a disinfectant if that is true why not open all the pools in states like Arizona and encourage people to go and use them. Or maybe the so called experts are hoping that it will work.

I encourage all President Buffoon backers to get on out there & mingle closely. Exchange some spit while you are at it.

1.Why not inject yourself with some chlorine like drump suggested yesterday?
2. The virus lives for at least several days on surfaces, perhaps as long as 10 days.
3. How hard is it to understand that cleaning viruses from surfaces doesn't help when it gets inside you???

I live in a small condominium complex which has a delightful swimming pool, private except for the very few of us who use it daily for exercise. There is plenty of room for social distancing around the pool deck and we have so few people on property, we could easily assign swim times and pool chairs.

BUT our county has determined that all pools be closed, which means that in order for me to swim, I must use the ocean which has unpredictable currents near me, or drive to a lifeguarded beach, 30 minutes away, and is crowded with strangers, so is actually less safe than swimming in my own pool, especially as an older person on my own. We can't bring a companion that doesn't live with us. But that is the way it goes for right now...

Hopefully it won't be for much longer. I so want to go back to exercising in my pool! The sunshine and exercise is something I sure miss.

Locker rooms, employee break rooms, ticket booths, people coughing in the parking lot. Nope. But its great that people are out walking riding their bikes, as long as its open space.

Ok... and the chorine kills the corona in the pool and MAYBE on the surface of the bodies covered in the poolwater, but... much more virus can reside WITHIN the body. Topical chlorine won't touch that (and would be severely toxic if it could). Also, what about all of the viruses beyond the pool? The “reach” of chlorinated pool water is pretty darned short. The reach of shedding humans is not.

“So called experts”. Really? Have you read the more recent journal publications? I have. We know a LOT about this virus already, and are adding to the knowledge base every day. Sure, some opinions might conflict, but with more data, the truth has a way of becoming evident.

Yep, it may not spread in the pool, but it sure will spread in the pools car park.

Hmmm because people won't maintain social distance?
