When traveling to the 'bluer' part of my state, where masks are seen as an infringement on one's Constitutional rights, when someone challenged me for wearing a mask, I said something like this to him: "Excuse me, but I just tested positive for the Coronavirus, and was told I should quarantine myself and self-isolate. But I felt that was an infringement on my rights, so I'm just gonna keep doing my thing, but I'm wearing this mask because my wife has a compromised immunity and I don't want to infect her or anyone else [followed by a loud cough]."

If I was there I would wear goggles and ask the idiots what they do when an infected drunk redneck spits in their eye cheering for sports re-runs on tv ??

You should have emptied a pocket of the scrubs with a paper towel or tissue and a pained look on your face as you ran outside to burn it....

Wear your mask if you need to. I don't wear one but should,and I'm only out of the house about 3 hours a day. I don't shake hands or get close to anyone.

Bwa ha ha. I am all out of smarmy remarks in the context of stupid people (them not you) but this really gave me a great smarmy belly laugh!!!!

. Gotta love it! Seeing you in or washing scrubs might be the one thing that makes everyone, regardless of political leaning or pan/plandemic-ing, hush when you are wearing a mask!! That might even be a great way for those who live in more mask-hostile areas to not be discriminated against... buy and wear scrubs daily.

A few coughs helps too.

I work in a place of 200 employees. It's me and about 4 others wearing masks. They've had one outbreak of 25 folks at the very beginning. Now that MO has loosened up restrictions, we're having more after a month of no new cases, four last week 7 this week.

Congratulations. You not only demonstrated strength of character, integrity, but also set an example. Thank you for the work and efforts that you put forth on our behalf.

On the rare occasions when I shop I wear my full face mask with glass over face from the old days of open cab farming (hobby farm years ago). I get some rather odd looks but have yet to be ridiculed.

On the brighter side, they gave you personal space.

An easy way to get rid of these uncaring assholes is to remove your mask and start coughing like if you had the virus. The place would clear out in a second.

I have considered how much fun it might be to have a mask that said "Beware! I tested positive."

I started wearing my scrubs (clean ones, my work ones are laundered by the hospital where I work) when I have to go to the grocery store or whatnot. The first time it was unintentional, but I definitely noticed that people happily gave me plenty of distance, so I've continued the practice.

If I ever have to go to a laundramat during the pandemic I'm going to wear scrubs. It couldn't have worked better if you had planned it.
